Accton Wireless Broadband Corp. (AWB) participates in WiMAX Taipei 2009 at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1 with showcase of series of new 802.16e-2005 wave 2 compliant WiMAX CPEs. Meanwhile, AWB jointly promotes the cutting-edge WiMAX technologies on Taipei Metro, offering visitors to experience mobile devices while traveling on the selective metro. Effective from 6/1, people can enjoy wireless connection while travelling with MRT in Taipei city if travelling with the special WiMAX Metro coaches.
To promote WiMAX Metro application, Accton group companies supply both WiMAX and Wi-Fi solution. AWB offers WiMAX Gateways for WiMAX broadband access on the MRT, and SMC Networks provides Power N Gigabit Wi-Fi 11N routers in each coach to provide Wi-Fi connection to any Wi-Fi devices.
